This is a new part. Warranty is 6 months from date of purchase, or 10 000 km, whichever comes first.

The warranty period is 30 days from date of purchase, or 10 000 km, whichever comes first, where the part is fitted to:

• Vehicles carrying passengers for reward — minibus taxis, metered taxis, e-hailing, buses, shuttles, tour and staff transport.
• Emergency and response vehicles — ambulances, fire and rescue, security and armed response, roadside assistance and towing.
• Driver training vehicles.

Who may fit it. Turbochargers must be installed by a qualified mechanic and/or an RMI-approved workshop. All CHRA, cartridge core and servicing work must be carried out by a qualified turbo technician. Fitment by unqualified individuals or establishments voids the warranty.

Before fitment. The cause of the original failure must be found and rectified. The oil feed and drain must be proven clear; fresh oil and a new oil filter fitted; new air and fuel filters fitted and the intake tract and fuel system checked; all debris removed from the intake, intercooler and pipework; the crankcase breather / PCV system cleared; the exhaust, catalytic converter and DPF checked for blockage; and the CHRA primed with clean oil before start-up.

Do not adjust the actuator rod. Wastegate and VNT/VGT actuators are preset at manufacture. Any adjustment voids the warranty. Warranty does not apply to remapped, chipped or tuned vehicles, or to motorsport and competition use.

Keep for a claim. Your proof of purchase and the completed, signed Turbocharger Installation Checklist, invoices for supporting parts and work, and proof that the vehicle has been serviced in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines and service schedule.
